Born in Hachioji and raised in Yamanashi, Japan. Leah is a puppeteer, actor, and model based in New York City. Her acting training began at Boston Arts Academy in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, where she fell in love with puppetry through her training with Dan Hurlin and Tom Lee. She has worked with incredible artists such as Hua Hua Zhang, Tom Lee, Nami Yamamoto, Phantom Limb, Loco 7, and Chinese Theatre Works. Her recent credit includes, Welcome to the Doll Den (The Tank), Dynamo (Target Margin), The Adventures of Seucy and Boto (La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club), Juniper Tree (Dixon Place), Dream of Land (Asian Arts Initiative), and Shank’s Mare (La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club). Her original work incluses, Molting (Center for Performance Research) and Rice (Drama of Works).
